Children Scholar Programming Day has been celebrated for the first time in Bangladesh, urging the students of primary level to inspire and encourage computer programming. The Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) celebrates this day as part of their two month-long computer education program.
The main event of the day was organized in Computer Lab of Daffodil International University in Dhaka. There, in about three phases, about 75 students of the Khuda Khar started taking programming.
Mujdalifa Khandakar Riddika, a third-grade student at Udayan Higher Secondary School, said that the programming class was very much enjoyed. He says, 'I have played the game of Angry Bird. I want to make games like this. '
Anusha, a fourth-grade student of Shaheen School, has demanded more such arrangements for the organizers. The best attraction of the day was the first class studying at Ananda Multimedia School, Tashfiya Sarah. Sarah says she likes to play Gassam. He came to this program and he knows it is possible for him to make such a gesame.
Kauchar Uddin, general secretary of Internet Society Bangladesh Chapters, came with two children. He said, scratch programming for children is very important. This arrangement needs to be spread further.
Daphodil International University teacher Farhana Sharmin, teacher of East West University Shakila Mahajabeen Tanvi, started teaching the students of the Khuda Khuda program. BDOSN's mentor Sadia Rahman, Tanzilla Tamanna, Tutul Sutradhar and Humayun Kabir conducted the sessions. Program Officer of BDOSN Sharmin Kabir said that they are planning regular training and fun arrangements with the students in future. He will also have boots at the National Mathematical Festival on February 9, he said.
Gold Sponsor ADN Group, Bronch Sponsors Surecash and Doha Tech New Media, Laptop Partner Dell and Partner Internet Society Dhaka Chapatar organized the BODOSN World Computer Education Week.
State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed will give certificates to participants at the auditorium of World Literature Center on February 7. At the same time the two-month long event will end.
